Worker falls on scaffolding at P.S. 102

Firefighters responded Monday night to a construction worker who fell onto scaffolding while doing work at P.S. 102 at 72nd Street and Ridge Boulevard in Bay Ridge.

The injured worker was rescued by being taken down from his scaffolding using a ladder bucket and was subsequently placed into an ambulance with a splint on his left leg.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to his left leg or knee and was taken to Lutheran Medical Center where he is expected to make a full recovery, according to the FDNY press office.
