A look at last year's festival.

Our readers know Brooklyn better than anyone and the Dime Best of Brooklyn competition is your chance to determine which businesses are the most outstanding when it comes to everything from arts and entertainment to services and shopping.

That said, nominations for the 2018 Dime Best of Brooklyn competition for restaurants, bars and nightlife are open now through Monday, February 12.

The competition — now sponsored by Dime Community Bank — has grown to be a coveted award for Brooklyn’s best businesses. The Dime Best of Brooklyn program allows the public to nominate and then vote for the best businesses in Brooklyn in a wide range of categories and sub-categories. Hundreds of businesses are nominated and thousands of Brooklyn residents vote each year.

From there, the top contenders will advance to the voting round, after which one winner will be crowned in categories like best happy hour, best burrito and even best bar for playing hookey.

To be a part of Dime Best of Brooklyn, simply nominate your business at www.bestofbk.com.

Want to get a leg up on the competition? Contact elizabeth@festivalmediagroup.com to see about participating in this year’s Best of Brooklyn Food and Beer Festival.

The foodie-friendly event – which, for the second year in a row, will showcase the best of the best in both food and drink – will take place at Sunset Park’s Industry City on Saturday, January 27.
