88-year-old Mary Joyce-Bonsignore of Bath Beach was found dead.

A missing Bath Beach woman who was being sought by family members was found dead on the roof of a building near her home just before noon on Tuesday, July 25.

Her death was reported by Father Michael Gelfant, the pastor of St. Finbar Catholic Church.

Mary Joyce-Bonsignore, who reportedly suffered from Alzheimer’s, originally went missing from in front of her residence on 19th Avenue between Bath Avenue and Cropsey Avenue on July 17 at approximately 8:30 a.m. After Joyce-Bonsignore failed to turn up after three days, family members launched a search party outside of her home. She was found Tuesday on the roof of 1853 Cropsey Avenue.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.

Joyce-Bonsignore was 88 years old.
