A vehicle caught fire in front of P.S. 185 Walter Kassenbrock at 8601 Ridge Blvd. in Bay Ridge Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m.
Fortunately, school had already been dismissed by then. The owner of the vehicle was shaken but escaped without injury as she stood by watching as firefighters doused the flames that had engulfed her vehicle.
Since there was no criminal activity, no police report was filed.
