Pre-K for All deadline is Friday, March 3

Sign up your kids for pre-k before it’s too late.

The deadline to apply for Pre-K for All, an initiative that gives kids free pre-kindergarten education that runs five days per week from September to June with most pre-K options being on a full-day schedule, is Friday, March 3.

“Tens of thousands of kids haven’t experienced this every day, and it’s really a wonderful thing for the city and working parents that are saving thousands of dollars who would [otherwise] have their kids in day care,” Deputy Mayor Richard Buery said during a visit to P.S. 516, Sunset Park Avenues Elementary School back in January. “They can go to work. We feel from a developmental, economic and educational standpoint, it’s one of the best investments the city can make.”
