Lots of action on the bases

The Parkville Youth Organization (PYO) Black Hawks ran away withtheir contest against the PYO Eagles. Robert Morillo brought in theonly Eagles run with his RBI grounder to short. Hits by MarcoMattera and Thomas Pretorious helped put three runs on the Hawk’sscore board.

The Eagles couldn’t get their bull pen to produce and it was adownhill battle all the way. However there one Eagle player worthyof mentioning in the fourth inning. Their shortstop, MohammedHamdan, is as tough as nails and giving up is not in hisplaybook.

The bases were jammed when Dylan Salas took his turn at bat.Salas is part of the meat and potatoes of the Hawks’ lineup andwhen he got ready the Eagles dug in, ready for anything. BAM! Heshot a bullet straight to short faster than a Parkville slushymelting on a summer day. Hamdan stretched out and nabbed the ballbackhanded. He looked at all the bases and kept all runners incheck. Absolutely awesome! Way to go, Mohammed.
