DISCOVER YOUR HOUSE’S HISTORY AT BHS

Have you ever wondered about the history of your house beforeyou lived in it? On Saturday, November 12 from 2 to 4 p.m., theBrooklyn Historical Society can help you find some answers. RECYCLE, EXPLORE, CREATE

You might not know it, but Tuesday, November 15 is AmericaRecycles Day. Seize the opportunity to teach your family aboutrecycling at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum with a lecture at 11:30a.m. that day, free with the museum’s $7.50 admission. Participantswill check out musical instruments, footwear and toys in themuseum’s collection made out of recycled materials and then work ontheir own creations. The museum is at 145 Brooklyn Avenue. REGINA OPERA PRESENTS MADAMA BUTTERFLY

Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly is the story of a Japanesewoman who forsakes her family to marry an American soldier.
