HURT DOES BECKETT AT BAM

Two-time Oscar nominee John Hurt reprises his role in the GateTheater’s production of Krapp’s Last Tape at the Harvey Theaterat Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) from December 6 to December 14.The one-act play, written by Samuel Beckett, is performed solo witha tape recorder also playing a central role. CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS AND RFK’S LEGACY

In 1967, due in part to the contributions of late New YorkSenator Robert F. Kennedy, the Bedford Stuyvesant RestorationCorporation was formed to rejuvenate the neighborhood withbeautification efforts, job creation initiatives and real estatedevelopment.

On Saturday, December 10 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at its 1368Fulton Street headquarters, the organization will hold its annualholiday celebration, which also honors RFK’s memory. This year’sevent will feature storytelling, face painting, a petting zoo andperformances by the Youth Arts Academy.

DROP IN DRAWING AT BROOKLYN MUSEUM

Every third Thursday of the month, the Brooklyn Museum offersattendees a chance to create their own masterworks at thefacility’s series of Drop-in Drawing Workshops entitled New Ways ofSeeing.

For a $5 materials fee, participants are led by experiencedartists in drawing a different object from the museum’s collectionat each session. No experience is necessary. On Thursday, December15, the workshop will run from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the RubinLibrary on the first floor. The Brooklyn Museum is located at 200Eastern Parkway.
