St. Bernadette School’s Open House

Here at St. Bernadette School, EXCELLENCE is our standard, notour goal! Twenty -six students (Class of 2011) were awarded over$383,000 in academic scholarships! Our state test scores exceed thestate and city average in Grades 4, 6, and 8 ELA and Math! (Ourmost recent state and standardized test results will be availableduring Open House.) We work hard – we encourage our students – wedevelop the whole child – we get results!

In October 2008, St. Bernadette School was named an NCLBNational Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, a title we hold for fiveyears. St. Bernadette School is accredited by the Middle StatesAssociation of Schools and Colleges. This year, we are pleased thatthat Mrs. Roberta Meringolo, fourth grade teacher at St. BernadetteSchool, has been named one of 12 NCEA Distinguished Teachers in thecountry, the second teacher in our school to receive such an honorin the past 10 years!

St. Bernadette School has a strong Catholic identity. Wecelebrate liturgies once monthly, as well as participate inEucharistic Devotions. Our students take part in para-liturgicalservices regularly. A variety of Christian service projects developannually, providing the students with opportunities to put theirfaith into practice.

Saint Bernadette School offers an integrated, standards-basedcurriculum, which consists of the major disciplines of Religion,English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.Regularly scheduled classes, staffed by specialized teachers inEducational Technology, Italian, Art, Music and Physical Education,add an essential dimension to student life. Classroom teachersprovide a solid core curriculum individualizing their instructionto meet the abilities and learning styles of their students. St.Bernadette School also offers a host of extracurricular activitiesas seen in our ad.
