Xaverian vs. Archbishop Molloy game comes down to the minute

Tensions rose at the basketball game between long-time rivalsXaverian High School and Queens’ Archbishop Molloy High School.

The game was certainly a nail biter and one observer of thematch called it an exciting game, down to the last seconds.

As the showdown entered its last minutes, Xaverian trailedMolloy by 10 points, leaving all to believe that the game’s winnerwas already decided. However, Xaverian player Brian Bernardi hadthe Xaverian crowd’s hope rising as he shot two back-to-back threepointers, closing the gap down to just two points.

In the last 3.9 seconds, a fumble caused Xaverian to lose theball and ultimately the game. Molloy won this time around with adramatic 49-47 score.

Some notable highlights were by players Bernardi with a gametotal of 14 points, Dillon Burns and Shakell Kemp with nine points,and George Lambert with seven points.
