One of Brooklyn dinings own is celebrating a birthday! Next weekend, Jamie Lynns Kitchen will mark its sixth anniversary, with a rather unique contest.
The Kitchen is famous for hosting unique cooking classes and more than a few hands-on events for kids. Sunday will turn the rolling pin over to local tots, as staff members are paired with them for a celebratory pizza-making contest. These teams will serve their pies to the judges (the very lucky Kitchen customers), in honor of the momentous date.
March is going to be a very busy month for owner and chef, Jamie Lynn Mollo, as the following day will mark the kickoff of the Kitchens Dine in Brooklyn menu. For the occasion, Mollo and staff will roll out an amazing three-course lunch menu for $20.12 and a three-course dinner for only $25.
The menus feature some of my personal faves to choose from, including the spinach and feta wontons, the Kitchen Salad, and pork chops with apples and bacon over mashed potatoes, all dishes that will make you salivate for more. The Kitchen will also include its famous brunch in the Brooklyn foodie-favorite event, which will last until March 29.
That very same week, the Kitchen will also be holding its next adult centered event, a wine tasting on March 24. The tasting, for which tickets are only $45, will feature a four-course menu, plus dessert. Mollo describes the event as a relaxing night worth attending, since she will be previewing items from the upcoming seasons menu.
Jamie-Lynns Kitchen, located at 1504 86th Street, has become a favorite brunch, lunch, and dinner spot for residents of the Ridge and Bensonhurst. Boasting a unique menu filled with sophisticated and delicious dishes, the spot will shortly benefit from the change of seasons, reopening a backyard patio that is packed on summer nights with customers who cant get enough.
