With temperatures rising and allergies calling, it is time for a bit of spring cleaning. This weekend, inspired by the arrival of sunny skies and spring fashions, I cleaned my closet.
For days, my apartment looked as if there had been a fashion tornado. Now, free of my unwanted clutter, I am, like most women, ready for a whole new wardrobe. While my teachers budget will hardly allow this pipe dream to come true, a local event is sure to satisfy my love of window shopping with a healthy dose of retail therapy.
On Thursday, May 3, Jovi, Brooklyn Social will host its semi-annual Girl’s Night Out event for those of us in need of a little time with the ladies. This years Night Out will celebrate the launch of Jovis new Good Life Guide with a fabulous party to celebrate the warm weather in style.
The event will take place on the patio at the gorgeous Dyker Golf Course and will include open bar, light hors doeuvres and goodie bags from local businesses. The night will showcase fashion and beauty products from local vendors and will include a Rock the Runway fashion show featuring the hottest Miami chic styles for spring.
Also featured will be a complimentary Cavoda Vodka tasting bar sponsored by Twenty3 Supper Club and Japanese appetizers courtesy of NGI. The night is sure to be a fun-filled fling, under the stars (weather permitting).
On May 3, take a few hours to reconnect with the ladies for a little retail therapy and a toast to summer.
