It’s time to start getting in shape!
On Saturday, November 3, the Prospect Park Alliance will host its Third Annual Walkathon in addition to its first ever 5-K run. After a frustrating week of work and/or school, you can unleash all your energy in a 5-K walk or run around Prospect Park that will raise funds for park maintenance, restoration, and programming.
Create your own webpage and encourage your friends and family to sponsor you. Enter the 15th Street & Prospect Park West entrance for check-in, which begins at 8 a.m. for the run and 9 a.m. for the walk.
The run lasts from 9-10 a.m. and the walk lasts from 10 a.m. to noon. The walkathon is open to people of all ages and will happen rain or shine! Advanced registration for the walk is $10 for adults, $5 for children under the age of 12 and $20 for the run.
In addition, the walkathon will include prizes for its top fundraisers: $100 Modell’s gift card for the top individual fundraiser, $40 Modell’s gift card for the top family fundraiser, and $20 Modell’s gift card for the top team fundraiser (for up to eight team members).
