A 44-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder for allegedly assaulting a 45-year-old Brooklyn man at 50 Nevins Street early on Sunday, April 21, leaving him with significant head trauma which later caused his death at Long Island College Hospital, police said.
Leonardo Martinez, 32, was arrested on Tuesday, April 23, for allegedly beating 44-year-old David Baron shortly before 6:30 a.m. inside the Institute for Community Living — a facility for psychiatric patients and the homeless.
The investigation is ongoing.
