The Red Cross will provide free emergency preparedness training and supplies at Brooklyn College on May 16

As we know all too well, disasters large and small can strike our area, sometimes at a moments notice. Thats why being prepared BEFOREHAND with the right emergency supplies and a well-conceived plan is so important.
What:
FREE Emergency Preparedness Training
On Thursday, May 16, 2013 the American Red Cross Greater New York Regionwill organize a Community Preparedness Event hosted by Brooklyn College. During the event, Red Cross volunteers will teach a 1-hour emergency preparedness training class where all participants will learn the necessary skills to be prepared before an emergency occurs and receive a FREE emergency Go Bag (see registration info below). These bags will contain some basic emergency supplies. The event is free of cost and open to the general public.
All individuals who register in advance will receive a Go-Bag. Walk-ins will receive Go-Bags as supplies last. To register, email outreach.gny@redcross.orgor call 212 875-2224.
