Pop-Up Pool to return to Brooklyn Bridge Park on June 27

There’s nothing like a little fun in the sun — and the water — to welcome summer!

Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pop-Up Pool will be returning to Pier 2 on Thursday, June 27, staying open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week, through Labor Day (Monday, September 2).

This is the second year for the popular outdoor pool, which brought swim lessons and food from the Brooklyn Beach Shack to families all summer long. This year, the day is divided into 45-minutes swim lessons that begin every hour, on the hour, with a maximum capacity of 60 people per session. Lessons will be available from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. beginning in July. Children under 4’2″ tall must be accompanied by an adult.

The pool is 30-feet by 50-feet and goes 3.5 feet deep.

The pool’s concessions will be run this year by Lizzmonade Brooklyn, which will also offer snacks for families. After 6 p.m., lemonades will be joined by sangrias and local craft beers. Bocce ball and trivia will be hosted on-site.
