Beauty Talk: To all future brides!

BY OLYMPIA COLANDREA

As a professional in bridal hairstyles for the past 25 years, I have worked together with some amazing and talented makeup artists and still do.

Today, I would like to give some of our future brides that are uncertain of the look that they are going for some advice.

Before you go and pick out a dress or headpiece, research and try to see what look you going for. Before you shop for headpieces, decide if you want to wear your hair in an updo or loose down.

Always do a makeup and hair tryout at the same time so you can see the complete look and so you can see exactly if you are comfortable with that look.

What I suggest to all my brides before the tryout, is to do research to see different hairstyles and makeup looks you may like. Pictures are the key to a successful tryout.

Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work out the first time. Sometimes, you may like something you see on someone else but it doesn’t work out on you. There’s no reason to worry. It’s better to find that out a few weeks beforehand than on the big day, right?

Ask for a consultation before your tryout with your hairstylist so you will come prepared for that day. You may like a look that may need some extensions or you may need a shaping, so again the look you want can be enhanced.

Remember to prepare for that special day. Look for pictures of the look you going for, book a consultation and don’t wait for the last minute to book your appointment.

Remember… look your best…. feel your best… most of all, love yourself.

Until next week.
