Eighteen-year-old Jakub B. Kizer died after his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and Eagle Street at around 9:13 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, said police, who responded to the scene along with EMS workers.
Kizer and the other driver were taken to Woodhull Medical Center, where Kizer died of severe body trauma. The other man, 23, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is listed as being in stable condition.
According to police, Kizer, who lives on Nasasu Avenue, was traveling southbound on Manhattan Avenue on his motorcycle when the car, a 2011 Toyota Camry, “entered the intersection” after pausing at a stop sign. The two vehicles collided on the driver’s side of the car.
His family has been notified.
