Seniors beware! The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in 14 South Brooklyn robberies targeting senior citizens. The string of robberies occurred between July 10 and July 31.
The suspect is known for approaching elderly victims, revealing a silver firearm and demanding their jewelry. The majority of his victims are males and all have been African American.
So far, 10 of the robberies identified as being part of the pattern were within the confines of the 67th Precinct, encompassing East Flatbush. Two have occurred in the 63rd Precinct and two in the 69th Precinct.
The police believe the suspect is a light-skinned black male in his early 20s. He has been described as slim, 5’2”-5’5,” between the ages of 18 and 25, and as wearing a light-colored baseball hat.
