Head’s up!
The Department of Transportation will close the Union Street Bridge over the Gowanus Canal the next three Saturdays, August 24, 31 and September 7 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The closures are needed to repair the bridge’s deck grating. The adjacent bridges at Carroll Street, as well as the Third Street and Ninth Street bridges are available as alternate routes.
