My husband likes gardening and I don’t like gardening. I don’t want to do it; meanwhile, he accuses me of not helping to enhance the house. I think that cutting the grass is enough and if he enjoys gardening, why can’t he just do it?

Dear Delores,

You are absolutely right. If he wants to do gardening, he can do gardening and embellish the house.

By the way, aren’t you in charge of embellishing the interior of the house? That can be your argument.

I say this often to my clients: no one needs to have the right to tell you what you have to do. You do what you want to do when you want to do it as long as you don’t hurt anyone in the process.

So, just have fun embellishing the interior of the house, and let him deal with the outside! And, finally, DON’T feel guilty about it. I hope this has helped.
