The jogger who collapsed while running in Prospect Park on New Year’s Eve has been identified as 68-year-old Rynn Berry of Prospect Heights, said police, who were contacted on Tuesday evening, January 7, by Berry’s half brother Charles.
Berry, the author of “The Vegan Guide to New York City,” was found on a park path dressed in jogging clothes and carrying only his inhaler.
Runners and neighbors from across the city spread the word about his plight over the past week and Berry’s family is now by his side at New York Methodist Hospital.
