NEIGHBORS WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Our unsung heroes
2014 marks the 40th Anniversary of BRAVO (Bay Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps) and I would like to honor the historic milestone by recognizing the services of its longest serving volunteer member.Eileen Oldcroft is still active in BRAVO after 37 years of service. She was employed by the New York Telephone Company, where she continues to volunteer with the pioneers,’ a group of telephone company retirees who contribute to many charitable causes.Eileen also enjoys volunteering at the Third and Fifth Avenue festivals, where she takes blood pressure and gives out health awareness material. After so many years with BRAVO and New York Telephone Company pioneers, they have become family, and she has no intention of stopping her volunteer work. We commend Eileen for her years of service without ever seeking the spotlight.COMMUNITY NEWSCongratulations and best wishes to Brooklyn South Police Inspector Chuck Schollth and 62nd Precincts, during his 35 years of service in the NYPD. Do this for two weeks only. It is said that you should see a marked improvement in your health. Please consult your doctor if you have any health concerns, or on any medication.Leave a Reply
