Muffin’s Pet Connection: Meet your new Foxee friend

RUFF RUFF…Who’s the best dog in the land? Why, it is FoxeeShe is about four to five years old and a definite love bug and couch potato. Unfortunately, she was given up by her elderly person when he went into the hospital. He can no longer take care of her so Tuff Tails jumped in.

Foxee is being fostered by a good friend of ours in Queens. We are trying to find her forever home in the New York City or Long Island area for the most part. She would love a home with another dog but will do just fine as your sidekick as well. Foxee, a medium size Terrier hound mix, is spayed, up to date with all vaccinations and micro chipped.

BE AWARE: CORN PRODUCTS-UNHEALTHY FILLERS IN PET FOOD…read labels carefully. Usually ground yellow corn (aka cornmeal) corn bran, corn gluten, corn flour, whole grain corn, corn grits found in pet foods, are used as source of energy which boosts calories.

The vast majority (85 percent) of corn in the U.S. is genetically custom-made (GMO). Livestock and poultry in the U.S. are fed GMO corn. Meat products, beef and chicken which are added to pet foods, can cause our pets digestive issues.Corn gluten meal is challenging because it is used primarily as a cheap substitute for meat. Dogs and cats are by nature carnivores and do best with a meat-based diet.
