NEIGHBORS WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Our unsung heroesMy unsung hero this week is a dear friend that I have worked with ever since I was a teenager and he, a young attorney. Gerard Rosenberg (known as Gerry to his friends), and his beautiful wife, Harrietth Precinct Youth Council, where their sons Mark and Arthur were Little League ballplayers.Gerry managed their team, and long after they were grown, he continued, serving as director of the Farm League (ages 6-9). He was elected to the Supreme Court in 1984, and in spite of his demanding job, he continued as director for over 20 years, caring for and guiding our children.Gerry retired from the Supreme Court seat in 2010, but continues to assist those in need of legal services free of charge. I feel that it is time to acknowledge the community service of this wonderful human being. Hats off to you, my friend.COMMUNITY NEWSA warm Bay Ridge welcome to Captain Ray Festinoth Precinct.
