Beating Cancer in Heels: MY healing process is valid so get over it!

They say time heals all wounds and I am a firm believer in that. However, one never forgets. It’s hard not to and I personally think it would be strange if you did.

It’s sometimes easier to forget but when you choose to, all you are doing is suppressing an emotion that is bound to surface again. Have you ever watch someone attempt to talk about something that happened in his or her life and bursting into tears before getting the words out?

That is because the pain still exists inside him or her.

Something always comes out of pain and struggle, and it is up for you to decide just what that is. For some, this might come easy and for others, it might be one of the hardest things to overcome. Either way, your healing process is very valid and don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise. There is no time frame for healing; if you do find one, please send it my way.

As much as I try to keep strong, I still suffer with the fact that I was diagnosed with breast cancer at such a young age. As much as I have grown as a person and have found my life purpose, I feel like I was robbed of my young adult years.

I, as a young adult, have to think about cancer every day of my life. Whether it’s hearing cancer awareness commercials or discovering what else causes cancer, I am in constant survival mode. I, like many others, have to be more educated on my diseases while trying to keep my youthful spirit. Sometimes I get so tired of dealing with it all, I can hardly get out of bed.

Keeping people in my life that didn’t believe that I was still healing, or respected it for that matter, just had to go. It only makes things much worse. Trying to motivate someone is one thing but making others feel that their healing in not valid is another.

I will never understand how some could watch you suffer and at the same time feel that they know when you should be done healing from the hell they watch you go through. Thankfully, that is no longer my problem because l got rid of the last person that made me feel that way, which was long overdue, and it was a very liberating feeling.

Now, Coachee, let’s figure out how you can help your healing process! Reading this article is a great start and for that I say you are on the right track!

Ask yourself…

In what area of my life do I need to start healing?

How do I want to help myself heal in that area of my life?

What supportive team do I want to have around me?

What or who is going to motivate me to seek the assistance I need?

Life Coach TIP…  Imagine yourself healing. How does it feel?

Empowerment… You are your own solution.

Inspiration for the week… Adalia Rose is a young girl with progeria disease. She has proudly embraced herself through her process but I am sure she wouldn’t be able to do so without the strength of her amazing mother and supporters. It’s all about who you keep around. Build wisely! She inspires me! (http://www.adaliarose.com)

Calming sentence of the week… I choose to love myself more.
