Fontbonne Hall Academy students participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life at Fort Hamilton High School field on June 21. They were part of Fontbonne student Andrea Arcadipane’s team, Toon Out Crew. This year, the Toon Out Crew raised $2,000.

Andrea was especially thankful for the support of the Fontbonne administration, Ms. Nicoll and the students who participated with her. During the school year, Fontbonne allowed Andrea’s team to sell luminaria lanterns, host adress-down day and hang up posters with the names of loved ones on them. Andrea described the event as a life-changing experience, and she hopes to raise even more money next year.

Despite the seriousness of the cause, the team members found time during the event to make new friends through a game of Red Rover. Fontbonne student Nicole Jackson even took a pie in the face during the first annual pie auction to raise additional money!
