Get ready to dig in: Brooklyn Restaurant Week is returning

There’s great news for foodies in Brooklyn and beyond: Dine In Brooklyn is back, and it brings with it the opportunity to enjoy old favorites as well as sample new flavors from the borough’s panoply of eateries.

The event, sponsored by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, will run from Monday, October 20th through Thursday, October 23rd, and Monday, October 27th through Thursday, October 30th, with a special kick-off VIP reception at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 10th, at Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street.

“Dine in Brooklyn celebrates the five-star flavors that make Brooklyn a ‘must-taste’ destination!” said Adams. “Our restaurants fuel our borough’s economic engine, and this event is an opportunity to support their continued growth while encouraging diners to discover – or rediscover – their favorite Brooklyn dish. Most important, Dine in Brooklyn further fosters the connections and memories that make ‘One Brooklyn’ like no place else on the globe.”

Handling the marketing and lining up the restaurants, as well as organizing the VIP reception, will be The Home Reporter, The Brooklyn Spectator and El Correo.

“We are excited to partner with the borough president’s office for Dine in Brooklyn 2014,” noted Joshua Schneps, co-publisher of the three newspapers. “Brooklyn offers the finest and most diverse restaurants anywhere in the world. This event has been a fantastic way for restaurants to gain exposure and have new patrons walk through their doors, and we look forward to working with restaurants from all over the borough.”

“Our media company is proud to be known as business-builders,” agreed Co-Publisher Victoria Schneps, “and this is a great opportunity to raise visibility and traffic at the unique restaurants of Brooklyn.”

During Dine in Brooklyn, the price of the special prix-fixe dinner at participating restaurants will be $25, not including tax or gratuity. Restaurants can also offer a two-for-$15 lunch special. Participants will have their restaurants listed on the Brooklyn-USA.org and HomeReporter.com websites, will be listed in special editions of The Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator, and will be promoted through social media, on Facebook (DineinBk), Twitter (@dineinbk) and Instagram (@dineinBk).

Restaurants interested in participating in Restaurant Week can call 718-238-6600 or email clatorre@homereporter.com. Dine in Brooklyn Restaurant Week sponsorship packages are also available.

For participating eateries, a limited number of tables at the launch event on October 10 are available free of charge to enable the restaurants to show off their cuisine.
