Parkville Full Tackle Football: PYO Broncos vs PYO Giants

PYO Broncos vs PYO Giants 14-0

The PYO Broncos took a huge leap in the first quarter in their rumble with the PYO Giants. Sean Asaeda handed off to Kellan “A-Train” Cohill and began fighting his way down field to score the first touchdown of the game.

In the second quarter, Asaeda took the snap and handed off again to “A-Train” Cohill who muscled his way to pay dirt, putting the Broncos on top of a 12-zip ball game. Anthony “Mad Dog” D’Egidio licked for 14 extra points to make it 14 – 0. From that point on it became a massive defensive battle with no one entering sacred ground. There were strong performances by Broncos Joseph Comodo and Asaeda and Giant Justin Burgo.

Both teams came up empty in the third and fourth quarters with awesome gridiron action by Solomon “The Warrior” Mercado, Justice Castro, Christopher “Shot Gun” Campbell, Sonny Holman, Joshua Vega and Mauricio “Meat Grinder” Cortez of the Giants.

Also note that Douglas Knapp made a slick interception toward the end of the fourth quarter. The Broncos were equally aggressive with hard hitting from Matthew “Sure Thing” Sciarrone, Comodo, Christian Nunez and Liam McEvilley.

In the Minor Division, the PYO Jets dominated the PYO Cardinals 25 to 6 with Jack “Sizzler” Ryan hitting the boards twice for the Jets for 12 points. Charles Kitsakos drew first blood and Parker “Can Do” Edelman blasted into golden soil for the extra point. Edelman scored again in the second half with a nine-yard sprint. Ryan also made a nifty intercept, keeping the Cardinals off their game.

Johnny “Day Light” Nisbet stripped the ball from Ryan and ran 45 yards to prevent a shutout.
