Holy Angels holds school-wide Olympics

Holy Angels Catholic Academy rang in the end of January in a special way with its annual Olympic games on Friday, January 30.

The school’s Olympics were held as part of Catholic Schools Week, a celebration that Stephanie Sanabria, executive board member of Holy Angels’ Parent Association, said was “big” and “filled with activities.”

“From Sunday mass for the Holy Angels community, to tours for prospective parents, the events [were] geared to celebrate the students of Holy Angels,” said Sanabria. “Highlights included the student/faculty volleyball game, Ice Cream Day, Math Bee; Meet the Presidents Day and the School Olympics.”

Sanabria mentioned that, in spite of all the other impressive activities, the Olympics hold the title of “students’ favorite.

“Because of the academy’s increasing enrollment and the popularity of the Olympics, it is now a day-long event,” added Sanabria. “All day the gym was filled with students and families cheering for their favorite team.  This is the week Holy Angels celebrates the children, families, and faculty who have made Holy Angels Academy a special place to be.”
