Shore Road was surely filled with smiles on Saturday, April 4 as State Senator Marty Golden hosted another Easter Egg Hunt to kick off the holiday at Shore Road Park.
The long-awaited sunny day featured entertainment and prizes for children along with a chance to meet the mammal of the hour, the Easter Bunny.
“The Easter Egg Hunt on Shore Road was another fun afternoon for the children and families of our community,” said John Quaglione, a spokesperson for Golden. “The Easter Bunny, the Egg Hunt, the face painter, the music and the prizes, made the afternoon special for those who were in attendance. It was great to see so many people enjoying the park after a very long winter season.”
“Hundreds of people came out, children and families, and they enjoyed the day,” added Rosemarie Rizzo, whose organization, Rosie’s Confidence Corner, was there to promote anti-bullying. “The day was about finding the golden egg, and I told Marty, ‘you’re the golden egg of our community.’”
The day also welcomed representatives from the Brooklyn Public Library.
