76-year-old Galina Shibayeva was pronounced dead after being struck by a black Mercedes Benz on 24th Avenue and Shore Parkway at 11:32 a.m. on Thursday, May 21.
According to police, a 21-year-old woman was backing up her car at the corner of the street and struck Shibayeva, a Sheepshead Bay resident.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
