Police search for missing Bensonhurst woman

Have you seen 87-year-old Caterina Romero?

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the 87-year-old who went missing and was last seen in Bensonhurst on Monday, December 28.

According to police, Romero left her daughter’s house—located at 8507 16th Avenue—at around 4 p.m. on Monday and never returned to her home on 83rd Street. Romero is described as 5’2″ tall, 130 pounds, with a thin build, light complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light blue hooded jacket, brown pants and brown shoes.

Anyone with information in regards to this missing is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are kept strictly confidential.

Update, 3:05 p.m.: The missing has been found and reunited with family.
