Subway service advisory for the holiday weekend

From the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA):

Subway riders, be advised, that because of necessary capital construction work on the New York City Transit subway system, certain service lines will be operating with changes this weekend from Friday, December 25 to Monday, December. Customers who rely on the following lines should allow for additional travel time:

R
From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, December 26 and December 27, 71 Av-bound R trains are rerouted via the Q line from DeKalb Av to Canal St.

R
From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, December 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, December 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, R trains are suspended in both directions between 59 St and 36 St in Brooklyn.  Take the N train instead.  Transfer between N and R trains at 59 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 25 to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, December 26, and from 11:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26 to 6:00 a.m. Sunday, December 27, and from 11:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, Astoria-bound N trains are rerouted via the Q line from DeKalb Av to Canal St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 25 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, Astoria-bound N trains run express from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to 59 St.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, December 26 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, N trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St in Brooklyn.

D
From 11:30 p.m. Friday, December, 25 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, D trains are suspended in both directions between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 34 St-Herald Sq.  Take the FNQR or free shuttle buses instead.  D service operates as follows:

• Between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr (trains will run express between 36 St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr).
• Between 34 St-Herald Sq and Norwood-205 St.
• Free shuttle buses operate between Grand St and W 4 St-Wash Sq, stopping at B’way-Lafayette St.
• For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the NQ or R.  Transfer between D and NQR trains at 34 St-Herald Sq and/or Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.
• For Grand St, take free shuttle buses; transfer between buses and trains at B’way-Lafayette St, or use the NQ or R at the nearby Canal St station.
