Assemblymember Pamela Harris is officially a Bay Ridgeite.
On Friday, May 13, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, local officials and community leaders joined Harris at the official opening of her new district office in Bay Ridge.
“I know how important it is to be accessible to all of our communities,” said Harris, whose district spans from Coney Island to Bay Ridge, connected by the Belt Parkway.
The event gave the community a chance to meet Harris and discuss pressing issues. Harris, whose other office is located in Coney Island, assured the community at the unveiling that her office is open to the public for any questions or concerns.
“My district offices are places where residents can meet with me, ask questions and learn about the various programs available to them,” said Harris.
Much like Coney Island district office, the Bay Ridge office provides the local community with a chance to help connect residents with local services and state agencies, obtain benefits, government forms and applications, and find solutions to community issues.
“I’m excited to have a presence in Bay Ridge as well, where I look forward to meeting with local residents, hearing their concerns and working on building a stronger community – because every voice deserves to be heard,” said Harris.
The new district office is located at 8525 Third Avenue.
