Cops seek to identify masked would-be bandit

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a masked marauder who attempted to rob an auto parts store in Sheepshead Bay.

The suspect.

On Sunday, May 1 at around 4:15 p.m., the suspect, described by police as a black man, approximately 40 years old, 5’8″ tall and 170 pounds, entered the business at 3720 Nostrand Avenue in the 61st Precinct, approached an employee with a knife in hand, and demanded he open the cash register and give him money.

The suspect quickly fled the store when the employee told the man there was no money inside the register. No one was injured during the attempted robbery.

The suspect was last seen wearing white sneakers, a black jacket, blue gloves and a hockey style face mask,
