62nd Precinct Police Beat: Man’s ex-girlfriend attacks him with baseball bat

Between Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, the 62nd Precinct received reports of two burglaries and two felony assaults. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend.

AFTERNOON BURGLARS

A 28-year-old woman living near 86th and Bay 16th Streets told police that upon returning home on Friday, June 24 at around 2:52 p.m., she saw a man and a woman rush out of her house. According to cops, the woman said she left the front door unlocked and after the incident was missing $800, electronics and a wallet.

STOLEN SAW

On Friday, June 24 at around 10:30 p.m., an unknown perp broke into the storage area of a Bay 25th Street apartment building and stole an electric hand saw. According to cops, a door to the storage area was kicked in and broken.

NOT REMOTElY NICE

A 32-year-old Middle Eastern woman told police that during an argument with her 35-year-old husband inside their Bay 19th Street apartment on Friday, June 24, she was slapped repeatedly and hit with a remote control. The woman told cops that she sustained bruising on her neck, chest and back.

STRIKING OUT

A 34-year-old man living near West Fifth Street and Avenue S told police that he was attacked by his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend in front of his house on Saturday, June 25. When the man confronted the woman outside of his home, she proceeded to hit him in the head with a baseball bat. The man sustained minor cuts to the right side of his head and received medical attention at the scene.
