To show unwavering support for Orlando in the wake of the mass shooting that left 49 people dead at a gay nightclub last week, the Community of All Faith is holding a “Pray for Orlando” Candlelight Vigil at the 69th Street Pier tonight.
“This is all people of different faiths coming together to put a voice against violence,” said Mindi Schwartz, one of the vigil’s organizers alongside Katherine Khatari, Marylou Martinez and Franci Schwartz. “The community of Bay Ridge [will stand] in memory of the lives lost and honor the innocent victims.”
The vigil will be held on Friday, June 17 at the 69th Street Pier from 9 to 10 p.m.
