R train service has been restored on the R line between 36th Street and 95th Street, according to the MTA, following an incident that occurred at the line’s 77th Street station early Monday morning, June 11.
According to fire officials, an individual was hit by a train at the station and was pronounced dead by responders upon arrival. According to reports, witnesses on the platform saw a man jump.
No further details have been made available.
Though service has been restored, riders can expect delays for the better part of the afternoon.
