A routine car stop in Gravesend led to the confiscation of 80 glassines of heroin and 26 bags of crack cocaine on Wednesday, October 26, cops say.
According to a police source, at around 3 p.m., Police Officer Joseph Notaro and Sergeant Christopher Dixon of the 62nd Precinct pulled over a red Chevrolet near Bay 31st Street and Bath Avenue for having “excessive tints.”
Upon approaching the car, the officers observed a man placing three envelopes of a substance – later determined to be heroin – in his pocket. A subsequent search warrant led officers to discover the substantial amount of other narcotics hidden in the vehicle.
At least one individual was arrested, according to cops.
