Cops seek man who punched woman in the face on D train

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man connected to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 66th Precinct.

According to cops, on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at around 4 p.m., a man – described by police only as black – was aboard a northbound D train entering the Ninth Avenue subway station when he approached a 24-year-old woman and punched her in the face.

The victim refused medical attention.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
