One dead, one injured after train accident at Fort Hamilton Parkway station

Two men performing work to subway tracks at the Fort Hamilton Parkway stop were pinned by a G train as it came around a curve at the station shortly after midnight on Thursday, November 3, cops say.

According to police, officers arrived at the station, located at Greenwood Avenue and Prospect Avenue, to the two men – one of them, 52, found with body trauma and the other, 49, found with trauma to his torso.

EMS personnel transported the 53-year-old to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead and transported the 49-year-old to Methodist Hospital, where he remains in stable condition, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing and the identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
