75-year-old pushed to the ground for cigarettes inside Bath Avenue playground

A 75-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his cigarettes while walking through a Bath Avenue playground on Thursday, December 8.

According to police, three young boys – two 14-year-olds and one 12-year-old – approached the 75-year-old from behind, pushed him into a chain link fence and forced him to the ground at around 6 p.m. The trio then went into the man’s pockets and took his cigarettes before making a run for it.

Cops later conducted a canvass of the area and found the three teens walking near Bay 37^th Street.
