Cops seek Sheepshead Bay store burglar

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man with a possible connection to a commercial burglary that happened in Sheepshead Bay last month.

According to police, on Saturday, November 26 at around 1:49 a.m., an unidentified male gained entry to Danny’s Super Dollar, 3822 Nostrand Avenue, by removing metal panels on the front door. Once inside, the man removed $600 from the cash register and proceeded to flee on foot. A female employee discovered the burglary upon opening the store at 8:30 a.m. that day.

In a surveillance image, the man is seen carrying two large trash bags, which he allegedly placed in front of the store’s door, blocking any possible view of the inside from the street.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
