Brooklyn was in the house on the day following the inauguration, Saturday, January 21, for the Women’s March on Washington. The march, whose founding principles include ending violence, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, workers’ rights, civil rights, disability rights, immigrant rights and environmental justice, drew some 500,000 people to D.C. and an estimated four million people to sister marches across the U.S. and around the world.
