The late Bay Ridge activist par excellence Maureen Stramka, second from right, is the subject of this week’s Look Back. In a photo from the files of this newspaper, Stramka — who succumbed to cancer just short of three years ago — is seen with former First Lady Hillary Clinton, to her left.
Also in the photo — former Assemblymember Adele Cohen and Democratic District Leader Dilia Schack, both Democrats, and Republican Bob Capano.
On Saturday, April 22, the corner of 78th Street and Third Avenue was named in memory of Stramka who, over the years, served as president of the Bay Ridge Community Council, the Bay Ridge Lions and the Ragamuffin Parade.
