Upcoming Senior Health and Financial Fitness Expo to inform the public

Informing the public how to stay healthy and answer pressing questions on financial fitness, the annual Senior Health and Financial Fitness Expo, hosted by the Home Reporter and the Brooklyn Spectator, will be held on Friday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Dyker Beach Golf Course, 1030 86th Street.

The free event will feature around 40 exhibitors, including healthcare professionals, representatives of financial institutions and health insurance companies, to talk to and inform attendees about a range of topics.

Welcome remarks will be given by Victoria Schneps-Yunis, co-publisher of both publications.

The keynote speaker Dr. Israel J. Jacobowitz, M.D. FACS Director of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, will discuss advances in the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Also, Dr. Danielle Casagrande, an orthopedic surgeon from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, will be speaking on the topic of preventing injuries, specifically to shoulder and elbow, in the elderly.

Chief of Audiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center & President of Liberty Hearing Centers Dr. John Weigand will talk about hearing loss prevention and awareness

From Ronald Fatoullah & Associates, Jeffrey P. Gorak, Esq. will discuss “Using Trusts To Protect Assets, Avoid Probate & Save Taxes.”

Chiropractic physician Dr. Carey Skorski of Bay Ridge Holistic Healthcare will talk about neuropathy.

The morning also include free screenings, coffee, cake, parking and giveaways. There will also be free raffles as well as live entertainment by Russell Craig, RequestAnything.com.
