Two stabbed on Fourth Avenue in Sunset; police searching for perp

Three days after two people were stabbed in front of 1004 Fourth Avenue in the 72nd Precinct in the early morning hours of Saturday, May  27, police are still searching for the young Hispanic man who they believe went after a 22-year-old woman and a 26-year-old male.

According to police, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. The woman suffered a stab wound to her neck, and the male was stabbed in the back, finger and left arm. Both were transported to NYU Lutheran Medical Center to receive medical attention.

The suspect, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans and blue shirt. He has brown eyes, a medium complexion, a tattoo of the word “Mexico” on his neck and weighs around 140 pounds.

Cops are urging the public to call the 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) with information about the incident. They can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
