Trader Joe’s opens second Brooklyn storefront

Brooklyn’s second Trader Joe’s location opened in Downtown Brooklyn last week, much to the delight of the grocery chain’s loyal customers.

The new store, located at 445 Gold Street, is part of Downtown Brooklyn’s City Point development, which includes a Target, Century 21 and an Alamo Drafthouse theater, as well as Dekalb Market Hall, a food court with some 40 different stalls.

Although the store’s opening was originally slated for the fall of 2016, its construction was delayed because of construction on City Point. The store joins the Trader Joe’s on Court Street, which opened in 2008, as one of only two Trader Joe’s locations in the borough.
