Bensonhurst’s Bishop Kearney High School announced a new assistant head of school on Thursday, August 24.
Peter Devlin, who formerly worked as the assistant principal of administration and organization at Curtis High School in Staten Island, is described by Head of School Dr. Margaret Lacey-Berman as a “hardworking and compassionate administrator who will work diligently to continue the mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
“I have known Pete Devlin for over 30 years. He is a lifelong educator who has always placed the needs of his students’ first,” she said.
Devlin also served as the liaison for St. John’s University’s High School Extension Program, as well as the chairperson of the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators in District 31. Besides having taught ESL and social studies, Devlin has also coached baseball, and coordinated student affairs and activities.
